PURPOSE: To make it easily to do ironing work which includes placing an iron on and lifting the iron from an iron placing part by a method wherein the title ironing board has an ironing surface and an iron placing part, and the iron placing part has a tilted part so that the rear end of the iron becomes lower when the iron is placed, and the iron placing part is arranged on the main body of the ironing board in such a manner that the tip of the iron faces toward the ironing surface.
CONSTITUTION: An iron placing part 12 has a tilted part so that the rear end of an iron 13 becomes lower when a worker places the iron 13 on it. Also, the iron placing part 12 is arranged in a main body 10 in such a manner that the central line of the iron 13 makes an angle 3 to the main body 10. For this reason, a tip A of the iron 13 faces toward an ironing surface 11, and a distance between the iron 13 and the ironing surface 11 becomes smaller. Because of this, when a worker lifts the iron 13 from the iron placing part 12 or places the iron 13 on the iron placing part 12, the kinetic momentum of the wrist joint, which the worker has to use, can be reduced.
