Abstract:

To provide an ironing stand wherein a pair of supporting legs can be folded and set up easily and surely at a touch and when the legs are set up, the legs which are opened can be firmly fixed so that ironing can be performed without anxiety.

A pair of supporting legs 2, 3 are mounted to the rear side of a body 1 of an ironing stand through fixing members 6, 7 respectively so that the legs can be folded and set up. Both the legs 2, 3 are urged toward the forward end of the body 1 by springs 11 respectively. A lock pin 10 is attached vertically on each of the legs 2, 3. When the legs 2, 3 are folded or set up, the lock pins 10 engage with lock holes 7c, 7d formed in the fixing member 7. And when the legs 2, 3 are folded and set up, the body 1 is pulled rearward against the urging force of the springs 11, whereby the engagement of the pins 10 with the holes 7c, 7d can be released.
