PURPOSE: To obtain a jig for testing bending strength, which can readily perform the bending strength test, by decreasing the number of the parts of the jig, facilitating the attaching workability of a test piece, and making the positioning of the test piece accurate.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of rod-shaped pushing pins 3 and 4 for supporting a test piece 1 are guided with straight pushing-pin guiding grooves 2e and 2f, which are formed in a test-piece receiving stage 2. The test piece 1 is guided with a test-piece guiding groove 2g. An upper load jig 8, which applies one-point or two-point loads on the top surface of the test piece 1, and a pushing jig 10, which is mounted on the jig 8, are guided with a through hole 5e of a cover 5. With these jigs, the pushing pins 3 and 4 are guided with the grooves 2e and 2f. Therefore, the pins are not deviated. Since the test piece 1 is guided with the groove 2g on the pushing pins 3 and 4, the position of the test piece 1 at the time of the test is eliminated. Since the cover 5 is not in direct contact with the test piece 1 and the cover 5 is fixed to the test-piece receiving stage 2 with protruding parts 2c and 2d, the position deviation of the test piece 1 and the deviation of the load applying position on the test piece 1 are eliminated.
