To allow the expansion and contraction amount even though it receives the drawing force and the compression force, by supporting a lock ring by a push ring in such manner that it is movable by a desired length in the tubular axial direction to a joint body.
One edge part of a cylindrical body of a push ring 40 is a pressure contact part of a rubber ring 2, and the other edge comprises a push ring flange 44 having a hole for bolt.nut. Further a recessed part is formed on an inner face of the cylindrical body. The lock ring 30 is set by a holding jig in such manner that a diameter is expanded, and then the jig is removed so that the lock ring 30 is attached to an outer face of a pipe P by the elasiticity. Then the pipe P is inserted into the joint body 1 till the rubber ring 2 is kept into contact with the joint body 1, and a split push ring is mounted on the lock ring 30 in such manner that it covers the same, and is jointed by fastening the bolt.nut 46, 47 for assembling. After the completion of the joining, the lock ring 30 can be freely moved on the recessed part of the inner face of the push ring 40 under a condition that it bites in the outer face of the pipe P, whereby the expansion margin can be obtained. After the expansion of more than a specific value, the lock ring 30 is brought into contact with an edge face of the recessed part, whereby the sufficient anti-removement force is worked.
