Abstract:
PURPOSE:To miniaturize a Josephson memory cell without lowering the reliability and degree of allowance of the memory by compensating the reducing section of loop inductance due to the shortening of the length of a bridge section by partially narrowing the width of a superconducting loop. CONSTITUTION:A memory cell is constituted by a superconducting grand-plane GP formed on a substrate, a superconducting base section electrode EB disposed on the grand-plane GP through an insulating film, first and second tunnel insulating films OXt disposed separated mutually on the base section electrode EB, a superconduting opposite electrode EC arranged on the two tunnel insulating films OXt in a cross-linking manner, and a superconducting control wire CL arranged on the opposite electrode EC through an insulating film. The length and width of the bridge section BR of the electrode EC are reduced.
