The kitchen counter C includes: a plate-like light emitting part C3 formed of a translucent material and arranged between a first counter part C1 and a second counter part C2 along the longitudinal direction of the kitchen counter C; a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements LD arranged along at least one end surface of the light emitting part C3; and a base member 10 arranged along one end surface so as to diffuse light which is respectively emitted from the plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements LD and reach one end surface of the light emitting part C3. The light respectively emitted from the plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements LD is diffused by the base member 10 and guided from one end surface to the inner part of the light emitting part C3, thereby allowing the light emitting part C3 to emit the light.
