Abstract:
A layer of cured liquid crystal compound, while advantageous for thickness reduction, is weak in terms of mechanical strength, sometimes leading to the occurrence of a crack when subjected to an impact from the exterior. The objective of the present invention is to provide a layered body containing a layer of cured liquid crystal compound that is extremely thin and has excellent resistance to impacts, an image display device equipped with the layered body, and a method for producing the layered body. The layered body includes the layer of the cured liquid crystal compound and a support formed on at least one of the surfaces of the layer of the cured liquid crystal compound, and the support has a pattern structure.
