Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably cut a lap by making use of operation of another device installed on a comber without a pressure device.SOLUTION: A lap cutting method during lap change on a comber uses a comber that has a lap roller 12, a carrier roller 22 and a peeling device 26, which peels off a starting end of a lap roll newly placed on the lap roller 12 during lap change by air flow, and cuts a lap L by reverse rotation of the lap roller 12. The lap L between the lap roller 12 and the carrier roller 22 is stretched by elevation of a peeling device 26 before or at the same time as the reverse rotation of the lap roller 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
