Abstract:

To provide a lathe turning method enabling highly precise machining of double rows of raceway surfaces (grooves) with a highly precise mutual difference in PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) dimension and groove pitch (raceway surface pitch).

A lathe turning method includes lathe turning machining of respective raceway surfaces 2a, 3a of an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3 of double rows of a bearing 1. Either side raceway surfaces of the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3 are simultaneously lathe turned by a lathe turning tool 10 having double cutting tools 11A, 11B. Then, a direction of the cutting tools 11A, 11B of the lathe turning tool 10 is changed, and the another side raceway surfaces are simultaneously lathe turned by the lathe turning tool 10.
