To provide a laundry drying tool capable of being installed easily and firmly at a veranda and further with a sun shade function.

A laundry drying tool comprises: two posts standing at a distance with their upper ends and lower ends being kept immobilized between two planes opposite to each other in a vertical direction while being expandable; a horizontal rod bridging the upper portions of the posts; a pole-receiving arm extending forward in a horizontal direction from the middle portion of each post, the arm comprising a pole-receiving part for holding a laundry pole; a laundry pole bridging and being held with the pole-receiving arms; and a sun shade sheet wound by the horizontal rod. At a lower end of the sun shade sheet, formed is a locking part for being locked with the post. The sun shade sheet is drawn from the horizontal rod to the bottom portion via the front side of the laundry pole and the locking part is locked with the posts so that at least a part of space formed between the two posts can be covered.
