To provide an LED illumination light source and an LED illumination device which have heat radiation and lighting efficiency improved and also have LED's integrated in high density.
This LED illumination device is equipped with at least one connector which is connected to a detachable card LED illumination light source having LED's mounted on one surface of a substrate and a turn-on circuit which is electrically connected to the card LED illumination light source 10 through the connector. The card LED illumination light source 10 is preferably equipped with a metal base substrate and a plurality of LED's mounted on one surface of the metal base substrate, and the substrate reverse surface of the metal base substrate where the LED's are not mounted comes into thermal contact with part of the illumination device. A feed terminal which is electrically connected by the connector is provided on the substrate surface of the metal base substrate where the LED's are mounted.
