To provide a lens array unit which requires less working processes, can be easily manufactured and can accurately prevent the occurrence of an out-of-focus, by the use of a shielding member consisting of a column-like member with an opening part having a diameter less than that of the lens.
The lens array unit is provided with a light source formed by arranging a plurality of light emitting elements, the lens array 12 consisting of a plurality of lens which emit light emitted from the light source, and a shielding member 11 for partially shielding the light emitted from the lens array 12. The shielding member 11 consists of a plurality of column-like members provided with an opening part having a diameter less than that of the lens, each column-like member being arranged to face each lens.
