Title:
LIGHT AMOUNT CONTROLLER FOR LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT ARRAY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61150286
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the variability in luminous intensity of light emitting element to be corrected into uniform exposure energy, by providing a light amount control circuit which controls the output energy of individual light emitting elements and an information switching means which controls the lighting or extinction of the light emitting elements. CONSTITUTION:A binary coded output from a counter circuit 5, based on clock pulses, is supplied to a scanning signal generator 4, decoded into address indication, and outputted to the LED array 1; then, LEDs 2 are selected one by one. The binary coded output of the counter circuit 5 is inputted also to a data memory 6 and likewise controls the supply current to the LEDs 2 or the supply time, thus adjusting constant the luminous intensity of luminous energy amount of the LED2. In response to the variability in luminous efficiency of the LEDs 2, the light amount control circuit 7 controls it by changing current values so that the luminous efficiency of each LED2 may become constant.
