PURPOSE: To handle a high speed wide band information signal by exacuting wholly the time division multiplexing and separating of a signal with light without transducing to an electric signal and executing also wholly a calling system to replace a line with the light.
CONSTITUTION: The video information from the camera device of respective subscriber is transduced to a light signal by respective electric-photoelectric transducer 3-1∼3-16, propagated in the direction of arrows 17-1∼17-16 in respective optical fiber cables 5-1∼5-16 and inputted respectively to a light multiplexing part 8. A light time switch part 19 writes successively the light signal for respective lines, which is time-division-multiplexed and sent, into the light memory, replaces the time sequence so as to come to be a desired time position at the time of it is read, reads it and executes the time division replacement. Thus, since the multiplexing and separating and the function of a time switch part are wholly executed with light, a high speed and wide band signal can be handled.
