Title:
LINEAR INDUCTIVE ELECTROMAGNETIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06209561
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a small and highly efficient electromagnetic machine which can be manufactured at an appropriate cost. CONSTITUTION: The linear induction electromagnetic machine comprises a tubular duct 3 receiving a conductive material circulating in the duct and around a core 4. An inductor 2 disposed coaxially with the duct comprises a magnetic path 15 formed by a comb 18 of laminated metal sheet, and a winding 14 disposed in annular notches 15 made in the magnetic path. These notches are separated from each other by teeth and the length of the teeth are shorter in the central part of the inductor 2 than at the end part thereof. Furthermore, the notch is shallower at the end part than in the central part and surrounds smaller number of turns of the winding at the end part. Each winding 14 constitutes an electromagnetic machine 1 connected with one phase of a polyphase power supply.
