Abstract:

To reduce a pressure receiving area in the whole hull, to reduce wind pressure resistance, to lower a position of the gravity center of a vessel, and to enhance stability of the hull.

This liquefied gas carrying vessel 1 includes a plurality of flat spherical tanks 2 for storing liquefied gas in its inside, arranged along a bow-stern direction, and fixed to the hull 5 via a skirt 3, and one continuous tank cover 7 for covering the upper half parts of the flat spherical tanks 2, and extended along the bow-stern direction and a vessel breadth direction, and has structure wherein the tank cover 7 is coupled rigidly to the hull 5, to secure a longitudinal strength integratedly with the hull 5.
