An application robot 1 having a basic application configuration comprises: an X-axis drive part 7 driving an application head 9 in the X direction; a Z-axis drive part 10 vertically moving the application head 9; a Y-axis drive part 8 positioning an application member 5 in the Y direction; and a θ-axis drive part 11 installed to enable integral drive with a Y-axis part and rotating the application member. With respect to the application member, each shaft of the application robot 1 is selected to perform application. With respect to various types of applications, since the application robot 1 has a configuration connectable at a constant pitch from a single body, systematization can be permitted, so as to perform optimal application to the application member. Various types of function heads related to application have mounting compatibility and thus are selectively mounted, so as to perform liquid application to various types of application members by the optimal configuration.
