Abstract:

To provide a display device that reduces a screen flicker.

An n-fold field sequential drive is employed. Specifically, a single image frame period is time-divided into a plurality of sub-frame periods, and images corresponding to red, green and blue are displayed in each sub-frame period. Viewers may get eyestrain from viewing images for a long time, especially on display devices where images magnified by lenses are detected directly by viewers' eyeballs. It is therefore important to reduce an image flicker on such display devices.
