Abstract:
To provide a liquid crystal display wherein inspection of image display can be reliably performed even if a peripheral region where a circuit for inspecting the liquid crystal display is provided is made narrow without cutting the peripheral region.
In the liquid crystal display, a pixel region where a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of drain lines are formed and the peripheral region surrounding the pixel region are formed on a substrate. Terminals for lighting inspection of the liquid crystal display are formed in the peripheral region and semiconductor chips for driving a liquid crystal are disposed on the terminals for inspection. The semiconductor chips are electrically insulated from the terminals for inspection.
