Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and eliminate floating when the floating such as curling of a medium occurs while liquid discharge is being executed in a liquid discharge device causing the medium to adhere to a conveyor belt having an adhesive layer on a surface and transporting the medium.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a conveyor belt 9 causing a medium M to adhere to an adhesive layer 7 of a surface and transporting the medium M; a liquid discharge section 19 capable of discharging liquid toward the surface of the conveyor belt 9; sensors 29A and 29B detecting floating U occurring or not in the medium M on the conveyor belt 9; a planarization section 5 performing application of planarization to the medium M on the conveyor belt 9; and a controller 39 controlling operation of the planarization section 5 on the basis of detection information of the sensors 29A and 29B.
