To provide a liquid feeding device which can supply a liquid in a liquid supply source with no waste to the last at the time of supplying the liquid from an upstream side to be the liquid supply source towards a downstream side.
The liquid feeding device includes a pump 43 which performs pump driving as a diaphragm 37 shifts to increase and decrease the volume of a pump chamber while a part of an ink flow channel 15 which supplies the ink from the upstream side to be the ink cartridge 13 side to the downstream side where the ink is consumed is made the pump chamber, and a controller 60 which detects an ink residual quantity in an ink pack 56. In the ink pack 56, the volume of an ink storing part of a closed space where the ink is stored changes according to the ink residual quantity. The controller 60 detects an ink end state in the ink pack 56 by detecting a shift amount of the diaphragm 37 at the time of suction driving when the pump 43 sucks the ink into the pump chamber by shifting the diaphragm 37 in a direction in which the volume of the pump chamber increases.
