To provide a liquid jet device which makes exchange of a nozzle plate possible and restores plugging of nozzle openings easily and entirely.

The device is composed of a nozzle plate 17 having nozzle openings 3, a channel forming part 24 which forms a pressure generating chamber 2 and an ink holding chamber 4 connected to the nozzle openings 3 and is placed on the nozzle plate 17, a vibration plate 11 which is laminated to the channel forming part 24 and seals an openings of the chamber 2, and a piezoelectric vibrator 6 which generates pressure in the chamber 2. The nozzle plate 17 is sucked with a sucking hole 23 and becomes exchangeable. Plugging of the nozzle openings 3 is almost entirely restored by exchanging the nozzle plate 17 when the plugging happens. Therefore, cost and time for restoring the plugging is substantially reduced, and the device is easily applied for liquid jet which are often attended with plugging on the nozzle openings 3 in various industry uses.
