Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the easily magnetizable axis of the resulting titled film perpendicular to the film surface and to reduce the coercive force by growing a (110) garnet film having a specified compositon on a nonmagnetic garnet substrate from a flux contg. PbO and Bi2O3 as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A liq. phase epitaxial magnetic garnet film having orthorhombic anisotropy and an easily magnetizable axis perpendicular to the film surfaae is grown on a (110) nonmagnetic farnet substrate from a flux contg. Pb0 and Bi2O3 as essential components. This film has a composition represented by formulaI(where 0<=X<2.0, 0.05<=y<=0.7, 0.5<=z<=1.45, R is >=1 kind of element selected from Ho, Er and Yb, and R' is >=1 kind of element selected from Tm and Lu).
