To provide a liquid supply core made of fibers easily adjusted in hardness and porosity and meeting broad request quality, and a method for manufacturing the liquid supply core made from fiber.
The liquid supply core 1 made from fiber is formed by mixing a large number of two or more kinds of fibers including main fibers and heat fusion fibers having low fusing point parts lower in fusing point than the main fibers, at a part or the whole of the outer surface at least, lining them up in a longitudinal direction and bundling and compressing them. The liquid supply core 1 is bound by the low fusing point parts when heat fusion between the fibers is carried out in a state of having open cells between the fibers and formed into solid bar shape with a fiber direction pointing in the longitudinal direction.
