Abstract:
To provide a lithium ion secondary battery with large capacity and excellent stability.
This lithium ion secondary battery utilizes an electrode body with a positive electrode sheet coated with LixMO2 (wherein, M is a transition metal of one or more kinds, preferably Mn, Co, Ni) as a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode sheet coated with carbon materials which can store and release lithium ions as a negative electrode active material laminated so as to be piled one on the other in a continuous state. The length l(m) and the thickness S(μm) of the collector of the positive electrode sheet satisfies a specifies a specific relation expression.
