Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium titanate powder for power storage device electrodes, which is superior in input characteristic at an ultralow temperature.SOLUTION: Lithium titanate powder for power storage device electrodes comprises: LiTiOas a primary component; and M (where M represents at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Mg, Zn, Al, Ga and In). The lithium titanate powder has a specific surface area equivalent diameter Dof 0.1-0.6 μm and a crystallite diameter Dlarger than 80 nm; the ratio D/Dof Dto Dis 3 or less. When the atomic concentration of M at a point of 5 nm from the surface of each particle of the lithium titanate powder is D1 (atm%), the atomic concentration of titanium is Dti (atm%), and the atomic concentration of M at a point of 100 nm from the particle surface is D2 (atm%), D1, D2 and Dti satisfy the following expressions (I) and (II): D1/D2≥5 (I); and 0.02≤D1/Dti≤0.4 (II).
