In the load transmitting body manufacturing method of a friction pendulum type earthquake-isolating device comprising an upper load receiving unit B having a curved receiving surface 24a and fixed to one structure, a lower load receiving unit A having a curved receiving surface 5a and fixed to the other structure, and a load transmitting body interposed between the receiving surfaces of the upper load receiving unit B and the lower load receiving unit A, a metal block consisting of a round bar 10 is held by a holding mechanism 11 of a working device to form one spherical part on one end of the metal block by a cutting tool 12; a screw hole 9c formed at the center of one end of the metal block by a punching tool 13 in the axial direction of the metal block is used for a holding unit of the working device, the metal block is fixed to the working device, and a remaining spherical part is formed on the other end of the metal block.
