In the two or more filling bar-preventing devices 21 disposed in the loom 1, a setting value on the operation of each filling bar-preventing device 21 is preliminarily memorized in a setter 20 for the extent of each filling bar, and when each filling bar-preventing device 21 is operated, information related to the extent of predicted filling bar development is inputted. Each set value corresponding to the inputted information is taken in and then outputted to each filling bar-preventing device 21. Thereby, each filling bar-preventing device 21 is operated in a state effective for preventing the filling bar in response to the extent of the predicted filling bar development on the basis of a set value corresponding to the inputted information.
