To provide a low environmental load type detergent composition capable of keeping the detergency even when a surfactant content for eliminating sebum stain (e.g. stain of collar or sleeve) which is main daily stain is reduced or even when the sebum stain is washed by utilizing water at ≤25°C or residual hot water of bath at about 40°C or even when the sebum stain is washed at ≥20 low bath ratio by using a water-saving type washing machine.

This low environmental load type detergent composition comprises (a) 0-9 wt.% surfactant and (b) 75-100 wt.% carbonate in a detergent composition having ≤1.5 g TOC(total organic carbon) based on a standard amount of detergent used to 30 L washing water. A washing method comprises using a washing solution in which a detergent composition having ≤1.5 g TOC per standard amount used to 30 L water is dispersed or dissolved.
