To provide a low refractive index composition which enables formation of a low-refraction-index low-reflection layer on a substrate and has excellent stability, an antireflection material and a display.
Provided are a low refractive index composition which is prepared by mixing (1) a silica precursor obtained by mixing an alkoxy silane having two or more of at least one type of hydrolyzable functional group represented by the following general formula 1 with a metal chelate compound in an organic solvent, and mixing (2) an organic solvent dispersion of a silica particle, wherein the organic solvent comprises at least one kind selected from alcohols and ketones, and an antireflection material and a display using the same. General formula 1: RmSi(OR1)n (wherein R represents an organic group, R1 represents a hydrolyzable functional group, m represents an integer of 0 to 2, and n represents an integer of 2 to 4).
