Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus capable of thawing and rewinding frozen cocoon silk yarn at a low temperature and high speed, while cutting off the fault of the yarn (slab) and automatically carrying out the ending of the yarn.
CONSTITUTION: Frozen yarn layer 2 is reeled to supply the raw silk 1, which is introduced into the slab catcher 4. When there is a fault in the yarn, it is cut off, and the cut yarn is ended by the automatic ending apparatus 7 (knotter), and is wound round the bobbin 1'.
EFFECT: The cocoon silk yarn released from sericin by the freezing and thawing process has porous texture, and becomes soft and hygroscopic to improve the ending efficiency.
