To provide a washing/drying machine which reliably detects excessively accumulated dew condensation water discharged from a dehumidification means and prevents failures caused by the overflow of dew condensation water.
The washing/drying machine is equipped with a washing tank 42 where clothes 41 is housed, is washed, and is dried, the dehumidification means 50 for dehumidifying moist air in drying the clothes 41, an air blowing means 52 for sending the air in the washing tank 42 to the dehumidification means 50, and a water level detecting means 81 for detecting a water level of the dew condensation water generated by the dehumidification means 50, and uses a thermistor 82 having a self-heating characteristic as the water level detecting means 81. If the water level of the dew condensation water rises abnormally because of a failure in an overflow pipe 78 discharging the dew condensation water, the thermistor 82 detects the abnormal water level. Consequently, failures, malfunctions, and water overflow are prevented by stopping the operation of the dehumidification means 50. Since the thermistor 82 does not have structural movable parts, the thermistor 82 never causes malfunctions when oscillated and never makes noises.
