Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data cartridge container magazine having an interface with an automatic cartridge feeder interlocking a cartridge carrying mechanism of an automatic cartridge feeder(ACF) and data cartridges in which data are stored with each other.
SOLUTION: An open type no-door interface 94 for the operator or a robot for extracting an automatic data storage library is provided to one side of the magazine, and the magazine is accessible on the other side to the ACF carrying a cartridge to a drive unit. A handle 102 to put the magazine into the ACF and used by the operator is provided to the ACF interface of the magazine. The handle is engaged with a latch rod in the ACF to fix the magazine. The ACF interface fulfills a function of the ACF continuously without intermission when the magazine is in existence.
