PURPOSE: To shorten the cycle of transfer in a transfer device for magazines for storing therein ICs or the like, by running an endless conveyor provided with a magazine trapping member, being opposed to the discharge section of a magazine stocker provided with a plurality of discharge means arranged in parallel with each other.

CONSTITUTION: A swingable rod 42 is swung in the direction of the arrow B in association with the operation of the piston 43 of a cylinder 40 in a magazine discharge means 39 so that a stopper section 44 extends and retracts with respect to a magazine discharge port 38 to release and lock the lowest magazine 33 in a magazine stocker 31. Thereby, the lowest magazine 33 drops onto an endless belt upon release. When a trapping member 60 which circulates together with the endless belt passes the magazine discharge position, it projects toward a position above the endless belt to trap the magazine 33 on the endless belt, and then shifts the same onto a magazine shift position. With this arrangement the cycle of transfer is shortened to aim at enhancing the efficiency of transfer.
