PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic coupling endurable for high-speed rotation by a method wherein the magnetic coupling is provided with a load side rotor, received in a pressure wall, provided with the same axial center as a driving side rotor, accommodating magnets and whose outer peripheral side is constituted of a plurality of magnetic members and non-magnetic members arranged between the magnetic members.
CONSTITUTION: A yoke 19a, attached to the N-pole side of a load side magnet 17, is provided with S-pole at the side thereof facing the magnet and is provided with N-pole at the outer peripheral side thereof by the effect of the magnet 17. Another yoke 19b, attached to the S-pole side of the same, is provided with N-pole at the side facing the magnet and with S-pole at the outer peripheral side thereof. N-pole and S-pole, which are generated in the part of the yoke of a rotor, are attracted by S-pole and N-pole respectively, generated on the inner periphery of a driving side rotor while pinching the pressure wall 12 whereby a load side rotor 16 is also rotated synchronizing with the rotation of the driving side rotor 13. The load side magnets 17 are in the load side rotor 16 and, therefore, will never be in contact with gas in the wall 6 of a vessel. Accordingly, the title coupling may be used even in a vessel, in which reducing gas is used.
