Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a large-capacity electromagnetic pump by using a multilayer vortex type intense magnetic field generator to generate a high-magnetic-flux- density travelling magnetic field.

CONSTITUTION: Spiral coils 1 and overcurrent conductor plates 2, which have holes in the centers and slits 4 extended from the holes to the peripheries, are laminated alternately and surrounded with magnetic frames 6 such as laminated cores to make magnetic flux generation elements A. The required number of the magnetic flux generation elements A are arranged, a nonmagnetic substance pipe 7 is passed through the holes of the overcurrent conductor plates 2, and a ferromagnetic substance bar iron core 8 is passed at approximately the center through the pipe 7. When a three-phase alternating current is applied to the spiral coils 1, magnetic flux induced by an overcurrent passed through the overcurrent conductor plates 2 and that induced in a closed magnetic circuit group consisting of the magnetic frames 6 concentrate on the pipe 7 and travel axially with the phase shift of three-phase AC voltage which is applied, therefore, a function as an electromagnetic pump is obtained.
