Title:
MAGNETIC SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0642906
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic sensor which can prevent the change of the value of a neutral voltage in the moving direction of a to-be-detected body.

CONSTITUTION: Magnetoresistance elements 1-4 are aligned in one row on the upper face of a magnetic substrate 5. At the same time, a magnet 6 for magnetic bias is set at the lower side of the magnetic substrate 5. Moreover, magnetic spacers 8, 8 of the same material as that of the magnetic substrate 5 are disposed to adjoin to both ends of the magnetic substrate 5 in the arranging direction of the magneto-resistance elements 1-4. Since the ends of the magnetic substrate 5 are magnetically extended thereby to restrict the edge effect, the change of the value of a neutral voltage in the moving direction of a to-be- detected body is prevented.
