PURPOSE: To facilitate manufacture of high torque, high output motor by simultaneously magnetizing all permanent rod magnets burried in the groove of rotor tooth.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetizing yoke 21 incorporates a block of rotor cores 7 to form a closed magnetic circuit having cross sections, in the circumferential direction and one axial direction of the block of the rotor cores 7, between the magnetizing yoke 21 and the rotor core 7. Two magnetizing coils 22a, 22b, for forming an axial magnetizing field, are disposed coaxially with the rotor core 7 in the space of the magnetizing yoke 21. Consequently, magnetizing flux to be produced by energizing the magnetizing coils 22a, 22b is bent radially from the axial direction, while symmetrically to the center of the core, and forms flux loops 26a, 26b. Since the flux penerates radially between the circumferential face of the rotor core and opposing magnetizing yoke, all permanent rod magnets burried in the teeth of the rotor core can be magnetized simultaneously.
