The malfunction preventing apparatus memorizes at least either first information showing that normal rotation or reverse rotation operation to a rotation angle for removing a weft inserted just before suspension is not performed for the driving shaft of an opening apparatus after the suspension of the weaving machine by a detected signal from an abnormality detection sensor or second information showing that normal rotation or reverse rotation to the rotation angle of the operation start of the weaving machine and prevents the operation of the weaving machine when the first or the second information is memorized in inputting an operation command signal.
