Abstract:
To enable bamboo fibers of uniform thickness to be manufactured easily and rapidly with high yield.
A bamboo piece 1C like a strip of fancy paper in a crushed state is fed into a splitting machine 16 from the side face and is split between the impeller 21 of an inner cylinder 20 of the splitting machine 16 and the splitting fine groove 18A of an outer cylinder 18. A splitting force is almost not imparted to the bamboo piece 1C in the tearing direction so that the fibers almost as long as the length of the bamboo piece 1C are obtained. The fibers are sorted out by a screen and delivered from the splitting machine 16.
