To manufacture a blade and support member capable of install all blades to a pump wheel and/or a turbine wheel in their three-dimensional position in a single operating process of a fluid coupling or a hydrokinetic torque converter.
In a method for manufacturing a blade for fluid coupling for automobile, in particular a Foettinger coupling, or a pump wheel of hydrokinetic torque converter and/or turbine wheel, in order to remain connected, by means of connecting web 3 of each of blade blanks, to a ring-shaped area 4 of a stamping blank 1 which remains intact during stamping, all of the required blades 2 are stamped in the form of blade blanks, out of a round shaping blank 1 in a single operating process. The blade blanks are then subjected to a deformation process, in which they are reshaped into final three-dimensional shape of the blade. At this time, the connecting state between each of the blade blanks and the ring-shaped area 4 is maintained, and the ring-shaped area 4 is adapted to the counter of a housing that delimits a pump wheel or turbine wheel, in the deformation process.
