Abstract:

PURPOSE: To heat-set a mouth region of a container by heat-setting a top end of a parison, and then integrally molding a mouth side region with it. CONSTITUTION: A mouth end 2 is heat-treated to be heated to a crystallizing temperature near a melting point of a PET. In this case, a crystallization occurs. The end 2 is inserted into a mold in an elevated temperature state. A region 3 having a small thickness is remolded to become a threaded part 5 in the mold. And, a region 4 having a large thickness is molded to become a flange 6. When an inner surface of a PET material is urged to an outer mold by a mandrel and further with an aid of blowing air, only the outer mold is sufficient for the remolding. The part 5 and the flange 6 form the mouth side region thus finished and heat-set in the mouth side region.
