PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of shape by forming a metallic layer onto an outer surface of a core before closing a die by thermally spraying metal in the state of ease or work in advance and forming a reflected face of metallic film outwardly while a metallic die regulating the shape of the inner face of a waveguide as a reference face.
CONSTITUTION: Before an upper die 5 is descended, a die removal agent is applied to the surface of a core 1 forming a cavity 3 and the inner face of the upper die 5, a lower die 4 and a slide core 7. Then a thin metallic film 23 is formed to the face corresponding to the reflecting face of a lateral core 1A and a longitudinal core 1B constituting a split core 1 and to the butted face of a flange 22. Then the upper die 5 is descended to form the cavity, an unsaturated polyester resin forming material is injected into a pot 14 of the metallic die and press forming is executed by using a plunger. The waveguide 20 is formed in a way that the synthetic resin waveguide main body is formed on the thin metallic film 23. During this time, another core 1 is subjected to thermal spray of metal. After the pressure forming, the upper die 5 is lifted up, then the slide core 7 is moved horizontally at the same time by the action of an angular pin 10 and parted from the core 1 to open the die.
