To provide a method for manufacturing a functional filter material provided with functions of fire retarding property, deodorizing property, anti-bacterial property, and anti-mold property.
This method for manufacturing a functional filter material comprises a process of applying a functional material to a non-woven cloth made of thermoplastic resin by melt blow method and a process of continuously drying the resultant non-woven cloth and the processing speed and the application thickness (Metsuke) of the non-woven cloth by melt blow are so controlled as to satisfy the following: 0.05≤X/Y≤0.8 (wherein X stands for the processing speed m/min in the processing process; and Y for the application thickness g/m2 of the non-woven cloth by melt blow).
