Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the yielding from lowering by precisely piling up veneers and, improve the quality of a product by a method wherein the veneer, after the front and rear sides of which are dried by being urged with heating bodies for the specified period of time, is split in the direction of the thickness of the veneer into two so as to bond another plate material between the two split veneers.
SOLUTION: The time for urging heating bodies 5 and 6 against the front and rear sides of a veneer 50 is set for drying to be shorter than the time necessary for obtaining the water content at the middle in the direction of the thickness of the veneer 50 less than its fiber saturation point by being dried through the urging of the heating bodies. Next, by splitting the veneer 50 in the direction of its thickness into two veneers 50a and 50b. Then, a middle plate 51 is arranged through an adhesive between the two veneers 50a and 50b under the condition that the split surfaces of the veneers 50a and 50b are faced outwards and their cross grains are set to be almost the same. Next, by urging the heating bodies of hot presses from the respective split surface sides, the two split veneers 50a and 50b and the middle plate 51 are bonded together into a plywood 52. Since the forces in the veneer 50a side balances with that in the veneer 50b side about the middle plate 51 as the center in the resultant plywood 52, the twisting of the plywood becomes small.
