PURPOSE: To facilitate the exchange of stamper at the changing-over of the kind of product by a method wherein a press plate, which is produced by forming guide tracks on a thermosetting or photo-setting resin layer produced on the surface of a roughened aluminum sheet, is wound round the surface of the roll of a roll stamper, the diameter of the roll of which is made to be 5 times or more as large as the diameter of a stamper, so as to serve as a plate cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: The roll diameter of a roll stamper 8 is 100mm and its width is 300mm. On a press plate 20, which is a stamper, two guide tracks 21 are provided. The width of the press plate is 300mm and its length is 3,200mm. The press plate 20 or stamper used is an aluminum sheet, the thickness of which is 0.3mm and onto which a thermosetting resin layer having the thickness of 5μm is provided. The press plate 20 is wound round the roll stamper 8 and clamped to it by pushing both the terminals of the press plate in the gap 22 of a press plate locking part and, after that, turning the locking part 23. After the correct adhesion of the press plate 20 to the circumferential surface of the roll stamper 8 by the above-mentioned clamping, thermosetting or photo-setting resin is cast as filler 24 in the gap 22 so as to bring the circumferential surface flush with a plate face.
