Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a phase difference film that has improved homogeneity and less optical spot.
A solution composition, in which 17-20wt.% aromatic polycarbonate is dissolved to 100wt. solvent, which has content of 1,3-dioxolane or methylene chloride of 98.0-99.9weight% and content of mixture with ethanol and pentanol of 0.1-2.0weight%, is cast on a support. Then, the extended film is dried and the film is separated from the support. And the separated film is dried until its residual solvent amount is 0.5-2.0weight%. And this film is uniaxially oriented 1.1-3.2 times in proceeding direction of the film.
