Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pole plate whose winding property is uniform and excellent by obtaining a sponge metal porous base using a thin film of macromolecules which is peeled with its axis extended in the direction in which air bubbles generated when foaming macromolecules serving as base material are manufactured are let out.

CONSTITUTION: A sponge metal porous base is obtained using a strip thin film 2 formed by peeling of a block 1 of foaming macromolecules with its axis extended in the direction (a) in which most of air bubbles generated during the manufacturing process of the foaming macromolecular block 1 are let out. Therefore the direction in which air bubbles generated at the foaming of the macromolecules are let out is uniform and parallel to the width of the thin film of foaming macromolecules peeled and dispersion in the form and size of each hole is reduced also in the longitudinal direction of the thin film, and the strength of an electrode comprising the base filled with an active material can be maintained against winding by making equal the direction in which the air bubbles are let out and that of the axis around which the electrode is wound.
