PURPOSE: To easily massproduce cloth slats, by conveying a three-layered stack body, which is formed by packing metallic slat main bodies in a cloth bag, into an apparatus in which welding rollers are incorporated with each of a slitting rollers.
CONSTITUTION: A slitting roller 6 has a circular cutting edge 7 at the central part thereof in cross direction and integrally has welding rollers 8 slightly smaller than the diameter of the cutting edge 7 on both sides of the cutting edge 7. A three-layered stack body wherein narrowly long lamellate slat main bodies 1 are, in parallel, arranged in regular intervals in the cross direction, between a top right side cloth 4 and a bottom reverse side cloth 3 is positioned so that the intermittent parts between the slat main bodies 1 can be under the slitting rollers 6. The three-layered stack body is brought into a cutting and bonding part on a bed and is allowed to pass therethrough, on which bed a plurality of the slitting rollers 6, each of which is formed in above-mentioned structure, are arranged. In this way, the right side cloth 4 and the reverse side cloth 3 are cut in longitudinal direction, and at the same time, margins 3a, 4a to be bonded are pressure bonded between the welding rollers 8 and the bed, and thus the parts of the margins each are turned into welded parts. As the result of it, a number of the cloth slats are simultaneously manufactured.
