Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an method and an apparatus capable of producing a high-quality woven fabric for reinforcement by a band type rapier loom in good productivity. SOLUTION: In this method for producing a woven fabric for reinforcement in which at least a weft is a reinforcing yarn bundle by a band type rapier loom, when a rapier is supported by a rapier sley constituted of projecting parts forming an integral structure with dents of a reed and weaving is carried out while storing lower yarns of warps in a recessed part of the rapier sley formed between the projecting parts, an interval of the adjoining projecting parts is n times (n is an integer of 1-15) the interval of the dents, a reed having the intervals partially different in the width direction of the reed is used and weaving is carried out to provide the objective method and apparatus for producing a woven fabric for reinforcement.
